Internationally renowned Peter Layton’s wonderful glass work comes to Westbourne,

We are very pleased to showcase some of Peter’s fantastically colourful glass work for the month of February only.

Peter is exhibiting his work in the monthly Featured Artist slot at The Art House in Westbourne. 

” Peter established the London Glassblowing Workshop in 1976 becoming one of the first hot-glass studios in Europe. Peter’s work is widely exhibited with pieces in major public and private collections both here and abroad and he is acknowledged as a glass artist and teacher of international repute.” (extract from Peter’s latest book Peter Layton and Friends. We have a few signed copies available in the gallery for customers. 

Alongside Peter’s work the main theme this month for the gallery is Winter Warmer, possibly unashamedly one for the ladies, plus some beautiful valentine gifts. 

The Art House Gallery in Westbourne, nr Emsworth is holding the exhibition from now until 28^th February for followers of textile fashion.

Alongside our strong base of textile work we have some other delightful new textile work to keep you, and even your teapot, warm with work by JANIE and Sharron Kearley who have made some delightful tea cosies. JANIE and Lorraine Litton have provided us with cosy hot water bottles and to really snuggle up, we have new work by Trisha Needham from London with delightfully warm velvet scarves. Don’t forget we are also stockists for Margo Selby with her gorgeously colourful woven scarves.  

Another exhibition and featured artist not to be missed. 

 Open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 am – 4.30 pm. Easy parking outside.

The gallery is located half way up North Street in Westbourne a picturesque village a mile north of Emsworth Hants. There is easy access via car, bus and there is a train station in Emsworth.
